About the event
- Workshop 1:
Sophrology is a mind-body method developed by neurologist Pr Alfonso Caycedo in the 1960s.
Sophie Tissot, a trained sophrologist, has been accompanying clients aged 7 to 98 individually or in groups since 2019, leading sessions in schools and various associations such as La Croix-Rouge vaudoise, Le Café des Enfants, the day-care center of Lutry, and CoCreateHumanity. Through her workshops, she has witnessed the positive impact sophrology has on a wide range of people with different issues.
As a nanny, you can benefit greatly from the sophrological tools Sophie offers during her workshop. She will teach you how to deal with children's emotions, help them return to calm, feel confident, and clearly express their needs. All emotions, whether in children or adults, are responses to specific needs, and it is essential to keep this in mind and provide appropriate responses.
During the workshop, Sophie will explain the intention behind each exercise, which is not only effective but also fun and recreational for children. Additionally, she will also provide tools for nannies to help them recover from a lack of energy through relaxation exercises.
- Workshop 2 :
Baby sign language, communicate with babies
In session, Hannah from Tiny Talk Geneva will guide you through the process of teaching and using baby signs effectively. You will learn about the importance of baby signing, including how signing from birth can significantly decrease frustrations by giving babies a voice to express their needs and emotions.
Discover a range of everyday signs that you can teach small children and enhance your communication with the little ones in your care. Don't miss out on this opportunity to unlock the benefits of baby signing and create a less stressful environment for both you and the children you care for.

- Workshop 3:
Montesorri
Prémila Sejor Pierre
When we work with children, we have some basic knowledge about development. This knowledge will guide us in our actions and the mindset with which we interact with them. We hear a lot about Montessori pedagogy, but especially about Montessori materials. But what are the foundations of this approach? Maria Montessori's journey showed her determination and she dedicated her life to the child. She had a vision of the development according to 4 planes of an interval of 6 years between 0 and 24 years. Through her observations of children in the first plane, she highlighted the singular intelligence of the child, what she will call the absorbent mind.
- Workshop 4:
Supporting neuro diversity. A workshop designed to help and assist nannies to detect, give guidance and become aware of the differences in looking after neuro diverse children including developmental delays, sensory processing and medical conditions.
